Visible mending is a beautiful and meaningful way to make worn clothes last longer by repairing. During this session we'll look at a range of mending samples and discuss sewing and embroidery techniques. You’ll then practice and choose a style to suit your garment.
You'll have the option to learn how to:
Measure + cut patches
Practice hand or machine stitching
Begin stitching onto your garment
You'll need to bring:
Clothing needing mends!
Spare fabric for patching
Embroidery / assorted threads for darning
Pins + hand sewing needles
Sewing toolkit and sewing machine
