Make something new from your pre-loved garments and fabric stash!

Got a stash of fabric or a couple of worn out garments? Cut them up and make into something new!
Aliss will demonstrate several ideas for making use of your upcycled fabric. You'll have the chance to view a few samples and understand construction of some basic items. You'll have the option of using simple pattern templates to follow.

You will then design, cut out and start to create a useful item to continue with at home, such as :
  • needle case
  • pin cushion
  • lavender bag
You'll use a sewing machine to put your item together, with the option to embellish with hand stitching 
Skills required:
For beginners to advanced sewists - You'll need to be able to thread up a sewing machine and sew a straight line
Suitable for adults and age 16+

You'll need to bring: 
  • Pre washed garments or scrap fabric
  • Sewing Machine*
  • Machine thread / embroidery thread
  • Optional : Ribbon / trim
  • Sewing toolkit > pins, needles, scissors etc
 * Bring your own sewing machine or borrow one for £3 /  session  hire fee
